PALESTINE WEST BANK
why are the palestinians not receiving a UN peace treaty?

20th Sept. Israelis add to their crimes, thay are now Bank Robbers:

The Israeli army invaded several cities in the West Bank and broke into money changers' shops and banks, confiscating some 1.5 million USD, on Wednesday morning.  The seizure of cash comes after months of seige by the Israeli authorities, who are attempting to 'starve out' the Palestinian people for the results of their democratic election in January.

Army invaded, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarem and Ramallah, almost at the same time.

In Jenin, at least 30 military vehicles invaded the city and surrounded a money exchange shop that belongs to Mohammad Nassar.  Nassar told Palestine News Network that troops also took him by force from his house to his shop and blew up the door of the shop and took all the money from the vault.  He added that the soldiers took almost 1.2 million shekels (nearly 250 thousand USD)

Troops also invaded two other exchange shops and took the money and the computers.

In Nablus, Israeli soldiers backed by more than 25 military vehicles, invaded the National Jordanian Bank and 5 money exchange shops.  Local sources said that troops destroyed the contents of the bank and the shops and took all the money from the shops and took one of the workers as prisoner.  The man was identified as 40-year-old Ghaleb Sweidan. Abdullatif Nassif, the manager of the bank said they will sue the Israeli army for damaging the bank's property.  He added that the damage is estimated aroun 500 thousand dollars.

Troops also blew up the vault in one of these shops.  The shop caught fire as a result of the explosion and all the furniture was on fire. Palestinian fighters arrived at the scene after the army pulled out and stopped the fire.

Palestinian resistance fighters in Nablus clashed with the Israeli troops and blew up an explosive device in Al-Salam street, no injuries were reported.

In Tulkarem, the Israeli army took money from exchange shops and took three residents as prisoners, identified as Ibrahim and Qassem Haseeb and Kamal Thiab.

Meanwhile, in Ramallah, troops invaded Al-Ajouli money exchange shop and other shops and took all the money there.

The Israeli army declared that they invaded 24 money exchange shops in the West Bank claiming that these shops provide money for what they called, “terrorist groups”.

Nighttime round-up of Hebron men
By Christina Gibb

CPT email release - 14 September 2006

CPT Hebron received a telephone call at 10pm on 13 September, saying that soldiers were holding a dozen men near the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC) in the Old City. Team members also saw that soldiers were entering a house near our apartment. Four team members, with a photographer who was staying with us, went to investigate.

Christina Gibb, Cynthia Burnside and the photographer went to the neighbours, while John Lynes and Char Smith went to HRC.

Israeli soldiers had just brought four men out of the neighbours` house, and took them along the street towards the Ibrahimi Mosque, with the CPTers following. They passed some men sitting on the ground, guarded by soldiers, and then were joined by another squad of soldiers bringing 5 more men. The soldiers took them all through the turnstiles checkpoint, into the open space by the Mosque, where. 40 Palestinian men were already sitting on the ground. Each squad of 6 to 10 soldiers turned back for a further search as soon as they had brought one lot of men in. By the Mosque, the soldiers took each man in turn and photographed him holding a sign with his name or ID number. They then took his fingerprints, and directed him past a barrier to another area. After a short time, the officer in charge first ordered and then pushed the CPTers back through the turnstile, where they stayed by the Mosque Gate.

Meanwhile Lynes and Smith had found a group of detained men at HRC, who were soon moved to the Mosque too. The CPTers followed a squad of soldiers who were systemically banging on all the doors with their rifle butts. One carried a large sledgehammer for forcing the door if it was not opened. Lynes stayed in the alleyway, while Smith went into several houses with the soldiers. They not only searched every room for men aged between about 18 and 35, but also burst into a room where 7 young children were asleep. One soldier pointed his gun at them, but when Smith remonstrated with him he stopped doing so. The mother thanked her profusely.

By 11.30pm there were 90 Palestinian men by the Mosque, and the soldiers returned empty-handed. The last man brought in had his hands cuffed, and then his wife arrived, with a very frightened small girl. She complained angrily to an officer that a soldier had stolen money and a necklace.

At midnight, the soldiers started releasing the men one at a time back through the turnstiles and all were at last released by 1.30am.

UPDATE 1st.Sept.2006. Israel occupation forces kill head of Al Aqsa Brigade in Nablus (pictured) Fadi Kafisha, injure 5 and
kidnap 100 Palestinians in Hebron 8/31/06.BBCWorldNews

PNN, (Nablus) Amin Abu Wardeh Tuesday, 29 August 2006

Israeli occupation terrorist forces assassinated two members of Al Aqsa Brigades, the armed resistance wing of Fateh, this morning, without any provocation from the Palestinian side.

In targeted attacks on homes of the so-called wanted in eastern Nablus City’s Balata Refugee Camp, Israeli forces shelled from the ground and fired missiles from the skies.

As reported by eyewitnesses, Israeli helicopters were circling overhead and fired several missiles into the family home of Nimr Abu Munif.

Within moments 30 large bulldozers and military vehciles, along with two trucks stormed Balata camp from Jerusalem Street and then broke into what remained of his home.

Eyewitnesses said that soldiers had opened fire on the house and sent in trained military dogs before going in themselves.

Two men were alive inside, and Israeli forces killed them both. Twenty-five year old Hani Abdullah Al Hashash and 20 year old Ibrahim Nimr Abu Munif were assassinated between 7:00 and 8:00 am Tuesday morning in the northern West Bank.

Nimar Abu Munif, Ibrahim’s father, said that dogs tore at parts of his son’s body. The rest of the family, including the eldest brother, was away and therefore safe.

Adjacent to the cemetery the inhabitants of Haret Al Jaramenh said that at least three soldiers had been shot by the resistance. Residents there say that before the invasion took on major proportions, “special forces” entered the camp in a car with a Palestinian license plate. They were posing as vegetable merchants and headed toward the Abu Munif home.

In the ground and air attack, Israeli forces killed several cows and sheep. During the ground invasion, Israeli soldiers injured a young person. And later the Al Aqsa Brigades denounced the assassination as a crime and threatened to retaliate.

Note from Editor Photos and images from two different sources re. Nablus. There were several houses of one extended family demolished and 12 wounded:While demolishing the homes, the army crushed at least eight automobiles, and utilizing a bulldozer, dropped three of them on a neighboring house. Also during the attack, IOF soldiers entered the adjacent children’s’ school and after knocking out the windows, used the area as a firing position to shoot at demonstrators. In addition, Palestinian medical volunteers reported that around 5:00pm, a large fire was seen blazing in the Labbada house, the result of repeated IOF grenade fire.
