I met Ezra Pound this morning......

Song
Winter is icummen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
and how the wind doth ramm,
Sing: Goddamm.
Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
An ague hath my ham.
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
Damn you, sing: Goddamm.
Goddamm, Goddamm, 'tis why I am, Goddamm,
So 'gainst the winter's balm.
Sing goddamm, damm, sing Goddamm,

Sing goddamm, sing goddamm, DAMM.

Ezra Pound..........It was a strange meeting but it gave me energy and made me reconsider the problem again, and doubtless I will again and again. For six years now I have put out a monthly issue of this magazine, but the time has maybe come to leave this circuit of hell that imperialism has now determined - I have to reduce the magazine maybe to an occasional issue or perhaps a quarterly which would appear January, April, June and October 2008. I regret this, as always, reading the material I receive, I feel a duty and debt to freedom and the bravery, and also sacrifice of life by journalists, that ensured I continued...... Also the incredible numbers of pages down-loaded each month and the "hits" speak for themselves. 30,000 - 50,000 pages downloaded per issue and a regular "hits" list often over 100,000 per month. Many many thanks to you my kind readers for your continued trust, and to all the writers who have supported me, and the blogs and newspapers I have raided. I will endeavour to continue putting out short issues from time to time as history changes. I regret that I must rest but I have simply run out of energy to work properly. 75 yrs of age, I suppose old age is getting the better of me - also I feel I must continue work in hand as artist and poet that originated my activity in a public world.

I hope many readers will keep this url and take a look for special issues (one coming up on nuclear matters) or a turn again through our modern history next year. Will we then be able to open our eyes to the world in hope as we once thought in the year 2000? Those of us who understand chance may have that resolution before us. Not as gamblers but as humans who desire reform of an evil system that now pervades the world. The media interest in Burma was evidently an intensity built up with political purpose to hasten the military repression - just incase the people throughout Europe and America realised that in their thousands they too must now protest their lives that have become beholden to bankerss, corporations, ridiculous "sovereigns"and imperial maniacs. I expect to keep going somehow but it is sure to be irregular. So long my friends.
