Plenty Of Bloody Hands
To Go 'Round

- Let's get real. The US
isn't the only nation that has had its
fangs sunk deep into the neck of
international monetary corruption, its
global stock and trade. When French or
Chinese weapons show up among the burned
out vestiges of terrorist attacks, we
need to remember that those arms, or
components for those arms, have been
moving through a system of hand-offs and
perfectly legal trade deals for decades.
For example, recent French missile parts
found at a terrorist bombing in Baghdad
brings the quick cry from the ultra-right
in America, "See! It's the
French!" On the contrary, it's
everyone. Let's step back several phases
and look at the whole process.
-
- The US or the Russians or
some other developed nation will
manufacture and sell either whole or
component parts for advanced military
weaponry to 'allies' and those on
'approved' lists by the State Department,
and they do so knowing full well that
these so-called 'allies' will turn right
around and make a deal and sell either
whole weapons or components of weapons to
nations on 'their' approved lists, which
don't match our list at all. This doesn't
even take into account what happens on
the black market! So far, everything is a
legal transaction. Bit by bit, part by
part, cargo comes and goes from port to
port throughout the world and everything
is a-ok and signed in triplicate and
whose to know... or care? A shell casing
here, an detonator there, some computer
components for guided missles... And then
some poor kid in a third world country
wakes up at 4am to an incendiary
hell-storm on his home, his limbs blown
from his body, his parents spattered
against the walls and everyone starts
looking for someone to blame behind the
terrorist act. Who funded it?? Where did
the weapons come from?
-
- The conspiracy to look for
isn't hidden, it's right in plain sight.
It always has been. It's a sick little
vaudeville act with an unfeeling clown's
shrug and passing the buck and each
nation playing the same game, shuffling,
shifting, buying and selling. No
different than the Ford motor company
supplying machine parts for tanks to Nazi
Germany. It's business as usual. It's
part of the global economy. It's part of
the vital lifeblood of all nations (even
those that parade around as
socialist/communist and reject such as
'bourgeois' capitalist the line is just a
little bit more desperate than the one
before (the system itself creating all
the strife and poverty for that very
desperation!) and will pay top dollar for
what it wants. Whether its the Clinton
Administration selling untold amounts of
advanced weaponry and missile systems to
China, granting them "most favored
nation" status (how convenient!),
who in turn will sell in whole or in part
billions of dollars worth of newly
developed weaponry to declared enemies of
the US, or as a recent example the sale
of weapons to China by Israel, who in
turn continue to shore up the
disintegrating Communist regime of North
Korea:
-
- "The Jewish state,
recipient annually of $3 billion in U.S.
aid, is second only to Russia as a
weapons provider to China, U.S.
congressional investigators say."
-
- What the hell is Israel
doing selling China weapons? There's
absolutely no difference in selling such
weapons or components for weapons to
China than it is just trucking it into
Ramallah directly and giving it to
Arafat's minions as a gift. It's the same
thing every other technologically
advanced nation is doing. Making money.
Period. To hell with the outcome. The war
on terror is as big a joke to them as the
war on drugs. The supply and demand for
weapons of destruction, mass or
otherwise, is the backbone of world
economic stability.
-
- It's time to see these
protesters focus on the world system as
the enemy, and stop wasting time
vilifying mere figureheads and statesmen
and presidents and premieres. That won't
get you anywhere. They change seats
almost as fast as Hollywood executives,
and whether they are coming from the left
or right wing is meaningless, they're
playing the game too. It's the system
that is the enemy, not any one nation or
leader. They ALL do it. These world
leaders will spew hateful rhetoric out of
one side of their mouths at each other,
then handshake on a big arms deal a week
later. They all need to be opposed and
their activities followed, charted and
brought to an international court, be it
the UN or World Court, and indicted
repeatedly, endlessly -- each transaction
counting as full accomplice to the final
act of violence that springs from the
sales, down to the last nut and bolt and
mercury switch and bullet. So, then next
time you feel great anger towards the
Bush admin, or some other nation
participating in dastardly deeds, just
remember, the lot of them are part of a
sick orgy of money and violence. No one
more evil than the other. Each is doing
its part is perpetuating a system that
ensures that violence, death and
destruction and remedies for such (more
violence, death and destruction in the
name of peace) continue...forever.
