THE HANDSTAND

MAY 2006

portrait of the editor

The Handstand will change irrevocably now I have moved and detached myself from any sustainable attitudes. The lodging house I am now in, living without phone, television or computer, is paradise. Just an easle and a great big table. Some dishes for food, my poet's box (a gift from Mary and John Burris) and hundreds of books.

Yes I will still survey the callous political world and hope to have some interesting essays on the mind and its activities - otherwise literature studies and drawings or poems are all I can offer you intermittently besides stimulating culls of Science.

This magazine will come out irregularly. And if you are disappointed at any time by its absence, possibly, if you are alert, an imaginary Handstand will find for you an exciting new book, a meeting and debate of interest, or opportunity to hear good music or see some paintings; in despair you might get a laugh....JB,editor.
