                              My Modest Dream
by TamerİFeb.14th 2004, Deheisheh Camp, Bethlehem.

Father Time said to me, after I had endured much sorrow
                        and anguish:
-“Rely upon the love of your parents… and all the
sisters and brothers… create your fragile dream and
leave the inaccessible world of fantasy… Plant flowers
to enjoy the view and attract wild creatures”…

I obeyed Father Time after a long period of delusion…
Not wholeheartedly though, but to overcome the tears of
sorrow… As I reached my objective, as I neared creating
my dream … I was awakened by tears… By the sound of
bullets, and the extinguishment of candles… The crypt of
a loved one, who refused to submit, was illuminated… One
who said NO to Tyranny… NO to terror… NO to those who
                        are trite and thankless.

I pursued the sound… The sad tears belonged to a child
who was trying to kneel and pray … He said:
-“Father, please stay… No, you shall never die… we shall
go back home to the land of our fathers… We shall eat
the berries… We shall not be stopped by the barrier
guard… Not even by their famous missiles”.

I closed my eyes to prevent them crying… All I saw here
was women defiled, and there… murdered souls and
                        bloodletting.

I escaped along with my reality and my dreams… Truth and
                        illusion… My world… my time… I intended to return… To
plant a hope stronger than the incandescence of the sun…
That can reinstate truth justice and peace… And restore
                        the sunshine…
